August, 2026 Update:

All activities will be at Yachats Inn Hotel in Downtown Yachats, OR.

NOURISH & FLOURISH: EARTH WISDOM RETREAT BY THE SEA

HOSTED BY IRIS BRIAND and ANNE WITMER

August 14–16, 2026 | Yachats, Oregon

Sweet pause. Deep rest. Good food. Good company.

Nourish & Flourish is a deeply restorative, weekend retreat on the stunning Oregon coast — designed to help you step away from constant stimulation, overthinking, caretaking, and productivity... and return to something simpler, softer, steadier, and more human.

What Awaits You:

Yoga & Nervous System Healing — Anne will be leading five sessions of gentle hatha and yin yoga along with breathwork, meditation, acupressure and self massage. Each practice will weave together nervous system restoration, insightful self-inquiry, and spiritual wisdom.

Farm-to-Table Cooking Immersion — A hands-on community cooking experience led by Registered Dietitian and cookbook author, Iris Briand. This isn't a cooking class so much as a reclamation of the kitchen as a place of pleasure and healing. Seasonal whole foods, practical nourishment tips, recipes to take home — and then sitting down together to taste what you made.

Forest Bathing Experience — An intentional guided walk through the stunning coastal forest, using nature itself as medicine to calm the nervous system, quiet the mind, and return you to presence.

The Magical Oregon Coast in Late Summer — Golden light. Ocean air. The sea at its warmest and most generous.

Retreat Hosts:

Iris Briand — a registered dietician, organic farmer, and cookbook author whose work beautifully embodies the healing wisdom of seasonal nourishment and whole foods.

Anne Witmer — Yoga teacher extraordinaire, with over 20 years of yoga teaching experience and leading retreats.

What Makes This Experience Different

One of the things I love most about this retreat is that it is intentionally intimate and close to home — a "soulful, coastal staycation" rather than a complicated faraway escape. Meaning - No airports. No rushing. No over-scheduling. Just ocean air, nourishing food, healing practices, beautiful scenery, meaningful connection, and space to exhale.

With an intentionally small group, the intimacy is not incidental — it's the whole point. Authentic connection and personal attention is part of the medicine. And the spaciousness is real. There will be time to walk on the beach, sit quietly with tea, nap, journal, and watch the ocean. Because healing happens not only through practices — but through space.

Finally, let’s be honest. It’s been a tough year. I think we’re all feeling like we’re running on empty, with the constant demands and over stimulation.

And somewhere underneath the scrolling and the to-do lists and the caretaking of everyone else, your body is quietly asking for something different.

Not another thing to accomplish.

Not another screen to stare at.

Not another weekend spent catching up on responsibilities.

But a true pause.

A moment to step away and truly be nourished physically, emotionally and spiritually. To experience the healing of nature and community, and remember what it feels like to be rested, present, and alive again. My heartfelt desire is to offer this pause to you!
